About the project
Taxiplasm is a score for an abstract and visually driven film, composed entirely with electronic elements. The project explores the relationship between sound and image through evolving textures, unconventional sounds, and shifting sonic colours
Rather than relying on a traditional melodic approach, I treated the score as an exploration of sound design, texture, and layering. I experimented with different electronic timbres and unconventional sounds to create an evolving sonic environment that responds to the film’s abstract visual language. The music develops through changes in texture, density, and atmosphere rather than a fixed musical structure, allowing the sound to remain emotionally ambiguous and closely connected to the imagery. The project also became a personal exploration of using sound as a form of emotional expression. By allowing the relationship between sound and image to remain open-ended, I used the score to translate internal feelings into an abstract cinematic sound world.
